Titles for fun
This is totally not my suggestion, because the idea has been used a lot in recent steam and xbox live achievements and such. But even before that, I remember reading someone wanting Guild Wars titles to be about fun.
One specific example (I wish to hell I could remember the name of the person who said this) was the suggestion that there should be a title for killing someone with Final Thrust while Blinded.
Honestly, the Guild Wars titles are mostly for poopsocking (and I should know; I have 22 of them maxed on my Monk). There's not a single title I can think of that doesn't stick to the forumula of "Do this action until bar is full" with the exception of maybe Guardian, if you want to look at it that way. This is tragic, because there are tons of situations in Guild Wars that could really be put on a bumper sticker--or under your name.

I dont think that some stuff like this are worth a title. Accomplishments are different.
/notsigned
If implememting a seperate kind of thing and get some kind of bonus (like an emote or something) for doing a bunch of accomplishments that are all semi related

This is the first time that I've seen "titles" and "fun" in the same sentence.
Something like the achievements in CoD4 are cool, but they don't fit in the mmorpg style.

If a new title is released, then there will be at least one person who takes it more seriously than the rest of the GW community, which results in the title becoming a competition/race between the people who progress for results rather than excitement. Any "bars go up" principle will have some sort of that.
The only place where competition should be present in GW is in PvP. If you want to limit some sort of achievement system to that, go ahead, but I can't say how much PvPers would care about those.

make them easy, funny, but odd and make them a prefix/suffix on your name instead of down below it. If there is no grind then no one could boast it over another persons title.
Puddin Cheeks could be
Puddin Cheeks the "Stealth Penetrator" (for shadow stepping to a foe and killing them in one hit) fill in the titles to your choosing.
I would love to tout a title related to running out of battle like Puddin Cheeks "Runs for the Hills"

Because this idea focuses on grinding. /notsigned
If it was do this, then that, etc etc,(such as using a number of certain combos of skills and it doesn't say what skills, and that combo only counts once) and not the same thing over and over, then I wouldn't mind.
And Puddin's idea about in conjunction with a name instead of under isn't bad, although Cypher of the Light of Suicide (Frenzy+Healing Signet+dying) doesn't look too good .

Surely every time you hit with Final Thrust while blinded it should just add 100 points to the lucky title track?
I don't think "fun titles" should add to the KoABD title track, tbh, because then they would just be accused of being more grindy. Well, of course they will anyway, but then those complaining would be correct!
I neither agree or disagree with this idea...what sort of "fun titles" should be allowed also?
- Number of times Healing Breeze is cast while under the effects of Mending.
- Number of times you get knocked down by [[Shock].
- Number of Shiro'Ken Elementalists you kill.
- Number of Paragons you refuse to party with because Paragons [email protected]
- Number of times you use [[Save Yourselves!" (Luxon)] while under the effects of "Tengu's Mimicry".
- Number of times you QQ on a forum.
- Number of times you read the EULA.
- Number of times you use [[Backfire] on an Enemy Warrior.
- Number of times you use a derogatory word for "Kurzicks".
- Number of times Koss over-aggros.
- Number of times you kill someone with Zealot's Fire + Orison of Healing.
- Number of Mantid Pincers you pick up.
- Number of Canthan Guards you speak to.

I think we all know where this will end when actually implemented
titles with 1000/10000 progress at something very, very boring.
Thou i would really love this:
+1 to lucky title each time you hit with attack title under blindness effect, 100 points if it was killing blow
+1 to unlucky title when you miss your "unblockable" attack.
+1 to wisdom if you interrupt 1/4 cast.
+1 to (whatever) if you land killing blow while on 1 hp.
etc etc ... small bonuses to existing titles.

To be for fun, a title would require:
- Having no rewards at all.
- Having no max.
- Not being increased by any kind of grind, but by playing just normally.
- Having no statue.
- Not counting to KoaBD.
That would be the only way to prevent people from doing them only to show off or get stuff.
A fun title is one that which related action is not made to increase the title, but made regardless of the title.

Reminds me of the CoH badge system which was totally centered around having fun and there are so many the grind or "vanity" concept was never an issue as there were displayable titles for what ever style you wanted to play.
http://cityofheroes.gameamp.com/coh/viewBadges
Not saying this would work in GW as I gather many enjoy the "vanity" aspect of majority recognized titles which is largely lost with the amount present in CoH

Accomplishments are different than Titles.
Depending on what GW2 is like, I imagine there could be some interesting and unique and, yes, fun ways to include something like this.
